Long-Awaited Rugby Games in Principality Stadium in April and March 2020

In March and April 2020, Principality Stadium in Cardiff will be the host of three long-anticipated rugby games. The city is full of fans awaiting to enjoy all the thrill and excitement of the world-renowned rugby events. In this blog post, you can find out more about the upcoming rugby games in Principality Stadium.

Cardiff is on Fire with the Arrival of the 8th Edition of the Judgement Day

Now in its 8th year, Judgement Day is once again at Principality Stadium to attract more than 50,000 rugby fans, as it does every year! On 18th April , 2020, two eastern Welsh regions and two western Welsh regions go head to head to bring about two climactic rugby games. This year, the two teams from west play host for the first time in the history of this showpiece event. If you’re a fan of each, make sure to be there to support the boys! In the 8th iteration of Judgement Day, we are going to witness an encounter of epic proportions.

All eyes are on Cardiff since this double-header fixture occurring every year at Principality Stadium is absolutely one of the biggest dates of PRO14. The event also owns the record attendance– and any PRO14 game – standing at 68,262 set in 2016.

As the WRU chairman, Gareth Davies says, “Judgement Day is not only a showpiece event for the Guinness PRO14, but it is also an annual celebration of the domestic game in Wales.”

Last year the Welsh Rugby Union and regions came to a new agreement to split the profit of the games differently. Despite the past, the home teams will earn 80% of the tickets profits while the other 20% will be split between the other two teams. With this new partnership, which is agreed to last until 2022, all four teams directly benefit from the agreement. Moreover, all four now play a home game at Principality Stadium.

Gates open at 1:30 pm. Then, at 3:00 pm the Ospreys collide with the Dragons while the Scarlets go head to head with Cardiff Blues. These rugby games are going to be breathtaking as it is the second time the teams from west take on their rivals from east.

Last season, the competition was so close as the Dragons beat Scarlets 34-32 before Ospreys narrowly edge out Cardiff Blues 26-23. If you don’t want to miss these thrilling contests, you can still buy tickets here. Get a move on ASAP to avoid any disappointment.

Keep this in mind: tickets are sold for both fixtures only and cannot be purchased separately. General prices will be £25 middle tier (£10 U16s concession) and £15 for both lower and upper tier adult tickets (including Alcohol Free Zone).

Good news is that everybody’s welcomed to enjoy the games! Wheelchair bays and ambulant disabled seating can be purchased over the phone with the WRU Customer Care Team. You only need to call 02920 822432 between 9.30am and 5.30pm Monday to Friday.

Six Nations Championship 2020 in Principality Stadium

It’s been more than 90 years that rugby fans get together to enjoy five rugby-packed weekends. Six Nations Championship has never disappointed its fans since its very first games. This year, this foremost rugby league has kicked off when the Grand Slam champions Wales collided with Italy at Principality Stadium.

Wales vs Scotland

On 14th March , 2020, Six Nations Championship will be back at Principality Stadium as it comes to its final round. In the first game of the 5th round, Wales will go head to head with Scotland.

Wales National Rugby team is one of the most powerful among six. Since their first game in 1883, Wales has edged out Scotland 73 times. Overall, 125 matches have been played between Wales and Scotland with Scotland winning 49 matches and 3 matches draw.

There will be a lot of pressure on Scotland as Wales also won five out of five in the last year claiming the Grand Slam and Triple Crown.

As the game is the last one Wales and Scotland play in this year’s championship, both teams will be competing to finish the campaign with victory.

Tickets are still available here.
