Description

Found just outside the city centre, the Grand Central Apartments consist of eight fully furnished 2-bedroom flats. Located in a private complex, these apartments offer the comfort of suburban housing with a fantastic location just outside Cambridge. The apartments are located in a quiet residential area with direct connection to Mill Road with some of the best restaurants that Cambridge has to offer. 

 

Each luxury apartment consists of 2 en-suite bedrooms and sleeps a maximum of 6 people. Each bedroom offers twin or double beds and there is a pull-out sofa bed in the living areas.  The bedrooms are spacious and decorative, and the luxurious en-suite bathrooms include an ultra-modern walk-in shower. The apartments are well-lit and spacious, each designed in a modern contemporary style with minimalistic elements to complement the polished wooden flooring. 

 

The living areas offer large, comfortable seating arrangements and a flat screen TV, alongside a dining table/breakfast bar large enough for all guests to enjoy a meal. Each apartment includes a clean and fully-equipped kitchen with an oven, microwave and a dishwasher, along with all necessary cutlery and utensils for any long or short-term stay.The Grand Central Apartments come with one guaranteed parking spot per apartment in a secure, underground car park. Additional street parking is allowed and free of charge. Please note, the ground floor apartments are wheelchair-accessible however the remainder are only accessible via stairs. 

 

The apartments are located a short walk from Cambridge Train Station, making them ideal for short-stay visitors or overnight stops. The unique and vibrant city of Cambridge is a 30-minute walk, or there a bus stop offering a frequent travel into the city just a 2-minute walk away. Famed for its countless tourist attractions such as museums, cathedrals and theatres, Cambridge offers something for everyone. 

 

There are a number of local attractions located within a 5-minute walk, including The Light Cinema, Nando’s Restaurant and Cambridge Junction live music venue. A Budgens Supermarket is located a 5-minute drive away.

Please note that pricing may vary at the point of reservation depending on a number of factors, such as day of the week, number of nights, number of people staying, and season.

Standard house rules apply and include being respectful of the property and neighbours, being tidy and minding noise levels outside of social hours. No parties are allowed. No noise between 11pm and 9am.

Please note that this is a residential area and we take the comfort of our long-term neighbours extremely seriously. Our neighbours are very sensitive to noise made by our guests.

Only the person who have been taken account for upon booking are allowed to stay at and access the property. Not complying with these terms and conditions will result in the full or partial loss of the security deposit.

A security deposit is required upon arrival for incidentals, and is released subject to a damage inspection of accommodation.
The security deposit may be kept for violation of house rules or damage to the property.

The security deposit is kept in the form of a pre-authorisation of funds on your card, as opposed to a charge. Please note that it can take up to 10 working days for the deposit to reach your bank following release of the funds.

Booking

The Guest placing the booking must be over 23 years of age on the check-in date. Upon booking, the full names, email addresses, telephone numbers and dates of birth of all the guests staying must be supplied to the Agent.

Guests may check in any time after 3pm on the day of arrival and may check out any time before 11am on the day of departure.
Guests wishing to check-out after 11am without arranging later check-out in advance will be subjected to an additional fee of £40.00 per hour for every hour or pro rata for part of an hour.

If a late check-out is approved by Peymans at the time of booking, the cost will be £20.00 an hour. Check-ins before 3pm and after 8pm are also charged at £30.00.

Payment is made by a secure online link. The property will contact you after booking with the link and time frame of making the payment.

This property is located in a residential area and guests are asked to refrain from excessive noise.
The property will contact guests with a contract prior to arrival. Guests are required to complete the contract and send it back to the property at least 24 hours after booking.

Check in times for last minute bookings will most likely have a one hour lead time post payment processing and timing is subject to availability.

Cleaning Fee

If the booking exceeds 7 nights, a full clean will be provided free of charge. If more frequent changes are required, cleans are charged at £50.00 per 2-hour clean.

    The set-up was really beautiful, the rooms were clean, there was a full kitchen for use, coffee machine, 3 bathrooms total (showers in each shared room), tea and a little bit of milk, the wifi was reliable, the flat had a lift, and because it was gated it felt secure. You could hear a bit of noise from the flats around you. But we really enjoyed our stay. The location was close to the train station (15min walk) and fairly close to the city centre (35-40min to where we had to go). We went for a conference at the university, and it was a bit long for a walk when you had to arrive by 9am. So, we usually took an Uber (£6-£8). We had 4 people stay in the flat, and it was a really comfortable size for our group.

    This apartment is ideally located in a quiet and private complex , just a short walk from the station and within easy reach of the botanical gardens and the historic centre. Although we couldn’t access the private car park on this occasion, the street parking was safe and plentiful. The small outside seating area was especially welcome in the very hot weather. Our host was very helpful, especially when we were delayed due to bad traffic. Ideal for a short visit.

    Relaxed break in great apartments. Two excellent ensuite shower rooms, outdoor seating, well equipped kitchen, extra downstairs toilet. The apartments we booked were well presented, in a pleasant, quiet location. Everyone slept well and we had all we needed for a 2 night break. There are a number of mini supermarkets within a short walking distacne. Local taxis are excellent, prompt friendly and easily catered for 6 adults . If arriving by train a taxi would be best as the walk doesn't suit everyone. Meeting up for the key, there are a number of apartments with 4 gated entrances, so the apartment number would have made locating it for the key handover better. A map of the area would have helped initial orientation.

    Great for a family with car. Coffee capsules, cleanliness, safe underground parking, general facilities. No fault, super clean and well maintained. Perfect for a long stay with friends or family with a car. Calling 45 mins before arrival, while totally understandable, was a chore-- especially when they didn't pick up. Plus, check in ppl were a bit late coming to the properly. I think a better system could be used. A minor suggestion: mirror in the ground floor bathroom.

    A pleasant stay in a modern apartment The apartment was well-equipped - there were plenty of bathrooms, tea and coffee facilities were provided, and the furnishings were modern. We especially enjoyed the outside area/roof terrace which was great for having breakfast outside in the mornings. The apartment was very secure and required key fobs to get in and out of the building which made us feel safe. Some aspects of the apartment looked a little uncared for - scrapes/marks on the walls, which I wouldn’t have expected considering the cost of the apartment. The location is okay - it’s close to the train station but quite a walk from the centre of town, but thank goodness for uber! After we had arrived, we realised that the back door was unlocked and that we were unable to lock it. We notified the agents who told us to leave it unlocked for the duration of or stay and that it would be fixed when we left.
